Are We Going to Mars

There’s much confusion in the press about the Bush Administration’s Moon-Mars initiative. Methinks that the confusion stems from a somewhat less than lukewarm reception in the halls of Congress and a seriously “let’s wait and see” attitude apparent in the general public reaction. The press itself has been jerking its knee at the mere mention of any initiative by the administration, of course. Large budget line-items are especially suspect in these days after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

If only the proposal wasn’t so Kennedyesque, then their opposition could really get some traction!
