The State of the Classroom

Apparently, it’s not getting any better. This, from Frank Wells, principal at Locke High in South Central LA:

“The more you fail, the more money they throw at you,” he said. “We’re filthy rich; I don’t want any more of your money. Send me quality teachers.”

(H/T from Kaus Files). Apparently, a number of the schools teachers have signed a petition supporting the schools conversion to a set of charter schools.

Needless to say, the LA Teachers’ Union objects.
Um… it looks like there’s nothing wrong with the public school system in this country that a union-etcomy won’t fix.
