Didn’t I see this hovering over my house once?

This is an artists rendition (computer generated, actually) of a “flying saucer” moon around Saturn.

This is the real thing as seen by Cassini.

Oooohhhh! Pretty. And pretty weird.

Charles Choi at explains how material can accrete to form such objects. The process may indeed offer insight into planetary formation.
